Mr. Freshman MC

I realize that it's a little unusual for me to post twice in the same week, and I don't want anyone getting any big ideas about that continuing, but I had to put a link on my blog for Taylor's Michael Jackson dance. He participated in a contest at school over the winter semester called Mr. Freshman MC (MC standing for "Mountain Crest," which is the name of the high school, for those unfamiliar with Logan and its environs). Zak explained it to me as sort of a prom king contest for freshman, so it's a pretty big deal. Taylor's talent portion of the contest was a Michael Jackson dance that is very cool (especially for a white kid). This "production" was a HUGE Lewis family effort -- everyone was involved in one way or another. There were lots of early morning practices, during which we gave Taylor our critiques of the dance, and Kelly worked a ton with Taylor on choreography. Rhett and Burke did all the filming and did an excellent job, as usual! All of us were there on the big night to cheer Taylor on (although all you'll hear in the video is the screaming of adolescent girls, as the entire school was invited to the assembly).
We were all pretty excited when Taylor won the competition, and after watching the video, you'll see why -- he was definitely the most talented kid on the stage that night!
